Boughey, George Fenton Fletcher

George Fenton Fletcher Boughey, British Army officer, was listed as a resident of Hong Kong from 1849 to 1858. He was a major in the 59th (2nd Nottinghamshire) Regiment of Foot. The 59th Regiment was stationed in Hong Kong between 1849 and 1858.

June 27, 1823; born John Fenton Fletcher, had name changed legally to John Fenton Boughey May 16, 1805; 2nd Baronet Fletcher, of Newcastle-under-Lyne and Betley Court, co. Stafford July 2, 1812; Member of Parliament, Newcastle-under-Lyme 1812, Staffordshire 1820-23; Lieutenant-Colonel, North Staffordshire Militia) and Henrietta Dorothy Chetwode (d/o John Chetwode, 4th Baronet Chetwode, of Oakley, co. Stafford). Siblings: 1. Anastasia Elizabeth Boughey (d. November 23,  1893); 2. Anne Henrietta Boughey (d. August 21, 1879); 3. Henrietta Dorothy Boughey (d. September 7, 1889); 4. Elizabeth Boughey (d. November 8,  1876); 5. Thomas Fletcher Fenton Boughey (b. January 22, 1809 - d. October 6, 1880, 3rd Baronet Fletcher); 6. Reverend John Fenton Fletcher Boughey (b. June 6, 1811 - d. June 21, 1853); 7. subject person; and 8. William Fenton Fletcher Boughey (b. November 9, 1814 - d. July 14, 1890).
m. Mitilda Elwin Ottley (d/o George Weatherill Ottley, of Antigua) December 16, 1842. Had issues: 1. George Fletcher Ottley Boughey (b. January 23, 1844 - d. January 17, 1918; Colonel, Royal Engineers); 2. John Boughey (b. January 20, 1845 - d. February 20, 1932; Major-General, Wiltshire Regiment); and 3. Anchitel Harry Fletcher Boughey (b. August 14, 1849, d. September 22, 1936; Vicar, St. Mary the Great, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire).
