Burd, John

John Burd, master mariner, merchant, was listed as a resident of Hong Kong from 1845 to 1850. He was a name partner in the mercantile firm, Burd, Lange & Co., in 1846. He was the founder and proprietor of the mercantile firm, John Burd & Co., in 1850. He was the Danish Consul in Hong Kong in 1850. He was a member of the Royal Asiatic Society, China Branch in 1850. Queen's Road West was listed as his address in 1850.

Burd was married to Hannah [maiden name unknown].
