Antonio Joze Homem de Carvalho, printing press supervisor, was listed as a resident of Hong Kong from 1845 to 1850. He was employed by the Hong Kong Register between 1846 and 1850. His position was overseer in 1850.
de Carvalho went to Shanghai in 1850 and became the overseer of the North-China Herald.
