Wilson, Alexander

Alexander Wilson, storekeeper, was listed as a resident of Hong Kong from 1846 to 1805. He was a partner in the auction house, McEwen & Co., between 1846 and 1850. He was a member of the Committee of the Victoria Library and Reading Room in 1850. Queen's Road was listed as his address between 1846 and 1850.

Two individuals and two firms were listed as underwriters and general auctioneers in the 1850 Hong Kong Almanack and Directory, arranged according to priority of license. They were: John Currie, W. H. Franklyn, Smith & Brimelow and McEwen & Co.
