Steedman, S.W.

The Rev. S.W. Steedman, Anglican Church priest, was listed as a resident of Hong Kong in 1850. He was the Military Chaplain for the British Military Forces in Hong Kong in 1850. He was a council of the Royal Asiatic Society, China Branch in 1850. He sat in a number of committees including the Examining Committee of the Morrison Education Society, the Standing Committee of the Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge; and the Standing Committee of the Incorporated Society for the Propagation of the Gospel in Foreign Parts in 1850. He served as the Secretary in the latter two in 1850. Spring Gardens was listed as his address in 1850.
