Dudgeon, Patrick

Patrick Dudgeon, merchant, was listed as a resident of Hong Kong from 1843 to 1850. He was a partner in the mercantile firm, Turner & Co. He was a Justice of the Peace (non-official) from 1843 to 1850[1]. He was a member of the Royal Asiatic Society, China Branch in 1850.

[1] He was one of the first 44 Justices of Peace ever to be appointed in Hong Kong. Their appointments were announced by Henry Pottinger on the fifth day after he had sworn in as the first Colonial Governor. The date was June 30 ,1843.

Marques, Manoel Vicente

Manoel Vicente Marques, mercantile assistant, was listed as a resident of Hong Kong from 1848 to 1850. He was employed by the mercantile firm, Turner & Co., in 1850. Spring Gardens was listed as his address in 1850.

Mackean, Thomas William Lockwood

Thomas William Lockwood Mackean, merchant, was listed as a resident of Hong Kong in 1850. He was a senior partner in the mercantile firm, Turner & Co., in 1850. He was Justice of the Peace (non-official) between 1843 and 1850[1]. He was a council of the Royal Asiatic Society, China Branch in 1850. He was one of the three Vice Presidents of the Morrison Education Society in 1850. He was the Treasurer of  the Medical Missionary Society 中國博醫會 in 1850.

Cannan, John H.

John H. Cannan, mercantile assistant, was listed as a resident of Hong Kong from 1845 to 1850. He was employed by the mercantile house, Turner & Co., as an assistant in 1850. He sat in the Committee of Management of the Society for Relief of Sick and Destitute Foreigners in 1850. Spring Gardens was listed as his address in 1850.
