Leong Afat

Leong Afat, carpenter, was recorded as a resident of Hong Kong in 1842. He was killed in March 1842 by the falling of a newly erected wall. An inquest was held on his body at the Victoria Tavern on March 22, 1842. The verdict of accidental death was returned, with a "deodand" of 15 dollars on the house. It is a pity that the names of the people in charge of the inquest was not reported in the .
