Crakanthorp, R.H.

Updated September 20, 2014

R.H. Crakanthorp, civil servant, was listed as a resident of Hong Kong from 1846 to 1850. He was the Chief Clerk of the Post Office between 1846 and 1850. He was appointed Acting Post Master (vice Thomas Hyland, absence on leave) on June 25, 1847.

Crakanthrop was listed as a clerk working for the Sydney General Post Office at George Street in 1879.

A Harvey Crakanthorpe was born in Hong Kong in 1854. [I wonder if there were related, noting, of course, the variant spellings of the surname.]
