The Rev. William Dean, Protestant minister, was listed as a resident of Hong Kong from 1842 to 1845 and from 1850 to 1853. He was a missionary belonged to the American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions 美國公理宗海外傳道部 and was sent to China in 1834.
Dean was born in 1807. He died in 1895.
